#4 Online-Session »Advanced flexible circuits for novel applications«

»Application of flex technology in miniaturized low-power IoT-nodes«

On the basis of a specific application, the possibilities of flex technology with their pros and cons are highlighted. The expert session will give an insight into the conception and design of a miniaturized low-power node, built with rigid-flex technology.

Speaker: Samer Al-Magazachi

Be part of our next lecture session on March 29, 2022: Within 45 minutes we would like to show you one presentation and afterwards our experts will be available in a deep dive for your questions and comments. Participation is free of charge, registration is required.

The increasing interconnection between the physical and digital worlds through the Internet of Things (IoT) is opening up numerous new solutions for automating processes that were inconceivable with previous classical concepts. The Internet of Things has the potential to be a disruptive technology and is fundamentally changing established processes and products in industry. Despite the positive development of many technologies that are crucial for its successful deployment, the Internet of Things has not yet achieved the decisive breakthrough. The bottleneck in this positive development continues to be the hardware platforms. This is where the IoT platform ZEPOWEL, short for "Zero Power Electronics", comes in.

The session will walk through the development process of a hardware with rigid-flex technology based on a real example: the development of the IoT platform ZEPOWEL. With its rigid-flex PCB the hardware reflects the modularity and flexibility of the platform. The presentation will highlight the process from system conception via hardware development to the finished platform and highlights the benefits and challenges associated with Flex technology.

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
