For the 9th time in a row now, students of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management will host the Accelerate@HHL Conference on April 28 and 29. The conference is aimed at founders, those who want to become founders, investors and everyone who is interested in the topic of entrepreneurship.
Following this year's motto "Shaping a Better Tomorrow", the students invited top entrepreneurs, investors and young talents to Leipzig. In doing so, they want to show that profitability and idealism can and should go hand in hand. The goal is to share insights with the participants and ask speakers about their ideas for a more equitable and sustainable future.
The current list of speakers stands out for its well-known names. A total of 28 international speakers from relevant companies and organizations have already confirmed their attendance:
Isabel Delgado, Chief Sales Officer of the sustainable phone manufacturer "everphone", Markus Witte, founder and CEO of the e-learning provider "Babbel", Hannes Wiese, CEO of the fashion mail-order company "AboutYou", stock market journalist Bibiana Barth and Lilith Diringer, CEO of the environmentally friendly travel platform "ChargeHotels".
Additionally, a number of investment managers will be on hand to answer questions from Accelerate@HHL participants — a special service for the budding founders among the conference guests.
The event will be broadcast live via digital stream from Leipzig and conducted in English. The event will take place over two days in a hybrid format where entrepreneurs, VCs, business accelerators and investors will be ready to exchange ideas on the HHL campus. Accelerate@HHL includes conferences, lectures, workshops and opportunities for in-depth discussions. It offers participants the opportunity to network directly and work out ways to better shape their shared future.
Additionally, Accelerate@HHL offers those who have already founded a startup or would like to present their business idea a platform to present themselves in a pitch competition. Each applicant will be included in the investor booklet, even if the idea may not have made it to the stage competition. The winner(s) of the competition will win EUR 3,000 in prize money for the best business idea as well as individual coaching sessions and a ticket for the Investors Day at HHL SpinLab.
