In research, the focus is primarily on material influences in welding, but also in additive processes. In ablative processes, developments are being spurred on in particular by the current rapid increase in the average power of ultrashort pulsed lasers, which also pose major challenges in terms of system technology. These are all topics that will also shape the SLT 2022.
The mission of the SLT is to address laser technologies for materials processing in a fundamentally scientific and yet comprehensible manner with a strong contribution by international and German research institutions and exemplify the scientific conclusions by presentations on corresponding industrial implementations.
Invited plenary speakers on June 21 will be Dr. Christian Schmitz, TRUMPF Lasertechnik GmbH and the professor newly appointed to the chair of "Laser Technology in Manufacturing" at the IFSW. On June 22, Prof. Dr. Ludger Overmeyer, Leibniz Universität Hannover; Dr. Thomas Stammler, Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH and Prof. Dr. Thomas Graf, IFSW, University of Stuttgart, will give an interesting plenary talk.
The talks will be given in English or German, with simultaneous translation of all presentations.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
