Können künstliche Systeme lernen, Musik zu interpretieren? Können sie nachvollziehen, wie Musik von Menschen wahrgenommen wird? Und ist es möglich, mit Maschinen musikalisch sinnvoll zu kommunizieren und zusammenzuspielen?
Antworten auf diese Fragen gibt es bei der Matinee am Sonntag, 23. Oktober 2022 um 11:00 Uhr in der Heidelberger Mathematik-Informatik-Station (MAINS). Im Rahmen der aktuellen Ausstellung „I AM A.I.“ hält Gerhard Widmer, Gründer und Leiter des Instituts für Computational Perception an der Universität Linz, einen spannenden Vortrag über Künstliche Intelligenz und Musik und stellt sein Forschungsprojekt „Con Espressione“ vor. Als Highlight der Matinee wird es eine eindrucksvolle Mensch-Maschine-Ko-Performance geben, bei der eine Reihe musikalischer Beispiele von klassischer Klaviermusik an einem Computerflügel gespielt wird.
Im Anschluss ist die Ausstellung "I AM A.I. – Künstliche Intelligenz erklärt" geöffnet und alle Neugierigen ab 10 Jahren können an den interaktiven Stationen allerhand Spannendes rund um KI ausprobieren und erkunden.
