TARGET GROUP
This course targets professionals who work or who are interested in the area of driving dynamics. The professionals can be technicians or engineers who either are newcomers or who simply wish to learn more about this topic. The course focuses on the fundamentals of driving dynamics covering measurement techniques as well as computational approaches and driving simulation. The various facets of the course content are presented as both theoretical lectures and practical training in the Stuttgart Driving Simulator and with the Stuttgart Handling Roadway.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course is designed to provide a detailed understanding of the field of driving dynamics. The participants will be trained to be able to carry out respective development work at car manufacturers and suppliers under consideration of the various interfaces to other disciplines.
Objective 1: Understand the physics of vehicle motion in the road plane. Understand the vehicle characteristics that determine driving comfort and safety and allow the developer to generate “driving pleasure” and a “driving dynamics DNA”.
Objective 2: Learn about driving dynamics measurement and objective characterization the vehicle response. Get to know methods and applications of vehicle dynamics simulation.
Objective 3: Learn about current trends in driving dynamics development including active systems, driver assistance systems and autonomous driving.
Objective 4:
Apply advanced tools like the Stuttgart Driving Simulator and the Stuttgart Handling Roadway to boost development by seamlessly integrating virtual development and testing.
GOALS
After having completed this course, the participants will have a fundamental knowledge about driving dynamics. They will have knowledge about measurement equipment and innovative testing methods as well as insight into vehicle dynamics simulation, model parameterization and driving simulation in a full-motion driving simulator.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
