The conference focuses on advancing the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) for Argentinian digital archaeological data. It explores the opportunities, strengths, and challenges of utilizing open-access information in archaeology. The discussion includes ideas for establishing an open digital ecosystem for archaeology in South America, using the BADACor (Córdoba Archaeological Sites Database) as a case study for open digital archaeological sources in the central region of Argentina. Additionally, it showcases examples of how BADACor has been utilized for research and reused by indigenous communities. Some examples of its use on the spatial and temporal dimensions in Argentinian Holocene hunter-gatherers peoples archaeology will be discussed.
