Microtechnology has revolutionized the way the world works. From the fascinating visions in science fiction films to the impressive technological reality of today, microtechnology and the technologies based on it continue to play a crucial role in the development of key innovations.
With a look at the past and a vision for the future, the IVAM Hightech Summit 2024 invites participants to take a journey through time and explore the developments that were once considered pure fantasy but are now part of our everyday lives or will be in the foreseeable future.

As a leading conference for the microtechnology industry, the IVAM Hightech Summit offers a unique platform for experts and deciders to exchange information on the latest developments in microtechnology, nanotechnology, digitalization and related fields. Under this year's theme "Back to the Microtechnology Future: Yesterday's Visions, Tomorrow's Realities", the conference will take place on May 7 and 8 in Frankfurt a. The IVAM Hightech Summit 2024 presents a diverse program that explores the transformation of science fiction ideas into technological realities. A total of eight sessions and three keynotes will focus on the latest findings and science fiction visions that have come true in the fields of:

The program is rounded off by practical workshops on the use of AI in companies, a cultural supporting program on the history of the science fiction genre and a large networking evening event. The official general meeting of the IVAM Microtechnology Network will also take place at the same time.

This year the IVAM Hightech Summit will be held under the topic of "Back to the Microtechnology Future: Yesterday's Visions, Tomorrow’s Realities". We present technologies in the change of time: from fantasies in science fiction movies to actual technological reality. Which technologies were imagined or shown in films several years or decades ago? What was pure technological fantasy in the past and is reality today? We will get to the bottom of this and link science fiction films with reality as part of our conference.
