Referent: Prof. Dr. Richard Traunmüller (Professor für Empirische Demokratieforschung, Universität Mannheim)
In seinem Vortrag analysiert Prof. Traunmüller die Wahrnehmung von Meinungsfreiheit in Deutschland. Er zeigt, dass Bürger diskursive Risiken als wahrscheinlicher empfinden als direkte Sanktionen, jedoch beide ähnliche Kosten für die Meinungsfreiheit mit sich bringen. Diese Wahrnehmungen beruhen auf tatsächlichen Erfahrungen und betreffen vor allem abstrakte gesellschaftliche Akteure.
