Ever dreamed of making a real impact on how people move around in the Ingolstadt region? Now’s your chance! Join the VGI Challenge and help innovate public transport – all while competing for a prize pool of €10,000!
What’s the VGI Challenge?
The VGI Challenge works in a similar way to a hackathon. Geeks, techies, designers, digital nomads and creative minds come together to find innovative solutions to a specific topic in small teams. There are no limits to diversity - any student who wants to be part of something big is welcome. While you normally only have 48 hours to complete a challenge at a hackathon, we give you a whole week. Your team (3-5 people) will tackle one of three public transport challenges. Brainstorm, design, and create solutions to transform mobility. Whether you're into tech, design, or just passionate about transport – we want you!
How it works:
- Kick-Off Event – 8th November: Choose your challenge and form your team at Reimanns (Campus THI).
- The Work Week: You’ll have one full week (not just 48 hours!) to craft your solution. We’ll provide spaces at THI and a support team to help you along the way.
- Final Pitches – 15th November: Present your brilliant idea at Reimanns (Campus THI). A jury will select the best solutions, and winners will take home cash prizes up to €10,000!

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
