Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Godehard Brüntrup SJ, geboren am 19. März 1957, ist Professor für Metaphysik, Philosophie des Geistes und Sprachphilosophie an der HFPH München.
Nach seinem Studium der Philosophie und Theologie in München, Frankfurt und Innsbruck sowie Forschungsaufenthalten in den USA promovierte er 1993 in Philosophie und habilitierte sich 2003 in München. Prof. Brüntrup SJ war in verschiedenen Positionen an der Hochschule für Philosophie tätig, darunter als Dozent, Assistenzprofessor und ordentlicher Professor. Er wurde auf den Erich J. Lejeune-Stiftungslehrstuhl für Philosophie berufen und hatte von 2014 bis 2020 das Amt des Vizepräsidenten für Forschung inne. Seine Arbeit zeichnet sich durch zahlreiche Publikationen und die Leitung von Drittmittelprojekten aus.
Am 22. Mai 2025 hält Prof. Brüntrup SJ seine Abschiedsvorlesung zum Thema Zeit und Zeiterfahrung als metaphysisches Problem.
