On 27 October, the event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (CET) at the WissenschaftsForum Berlin (Markgrafenstr. 37, 10117 Berlin) and will be streamed online. It will feature a panel discussion with:
• C. Katharina Spieß, Director of the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB)
• Petra Bahr, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth
• Shalini Randeria, President of the Central European University
• Jasmin Arbabian-Vogel, Entrepreneur in the care sector and former President of the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs
Additionally, the prestigious European Demographer Awards will be presented.
On 28 October, the event takes place online from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CET) and features three one- hour expert panels with Q&A on:
• Global Talent, Local Gaps: Skill Migration and Territorial Divides
• Rural but Plural? Migration and Belonging in Rural Areas
• Who Belongs? Democracy in a Changing Demographic Landscape
The Berlin Demography Days 2025 receive funding from the Federal Ministry for Education, Family, Seniors, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ), the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI).
