Anlässlich der Schenkung eines Gemäldes an das DSM kommt die Künstlerin Lissi Jacobsen mit dem DSM-Forscher Vyacheslav Bondarenko und der DSM-Direktorin Prof. Dr. Ruth Schilling zu einem Trialog über die Containerschifffahrt zusammen. Bondarenko erforscht die Rolle der globalen Container-Allianzen und wie sie durch den unterschiedlichen Warenfluss die Weltwirtschaft in verschiedenen Regionen stärker oder weniger beeinflussen.
Lissi Jacobsen ist gebürtige Wilhelmshavenerin, war an zahlreichen Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland beteiligt und ist als Dozentin in Bremerhaven tätig. In ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit thematisiert sie häufig die urban-maritime Hafenumgebung. Das Acryl-Gemälde, das sie dem DSM übergibt, zeigt ein abstraktes Containerschiff.
