Die Historikerin Prof. Dr. Gabriele Metzler wurde zum 15. November 2025 als Direktorin an das Leibniz-Zentrum für Zeithistorische Forschung (ZZF) berufen und leitet die Einrichtung seither gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Frank Bösch als Doppelspitze. Zeitgleich wurde Metzler an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) zur Professorin für Zeitgeschichte ernannt. Zur Antrittsvorlesung am ZZF Potsdam lädt das Institut herzlich ein.
