The field of transplant medicine is constantly evolving. Medical innovations, new technologies, and changing healthcare delivery structures necessitate continuous, close collaboration among clinical practitioners, the scientific community, and the industry.
Against this backdrop, the Transplant Center at Hannover Medical School (MHH) is hosting the 2nd International Hannover Transplant Summit at the Medical Park on October 29–30, 2026, under the leadership of the Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Moritz Schmelzle.
Over the course of two days and four sessions, leading experts from various disciplines within transplant medicine will present the latest translational approaches and engage in collaborative discussion.
Prof. Beicheng Sun – who achieved a major breakthrough in the field of xenotransplantation by transplanting a genetically modified pig liver – will travel from China to discuss this advancement in the keynote lecture.
