#5 Online-Session »Advanced flexible circuits for novel applications«

»Electronic textiles technologies«

Textile integrated electronics enable new applications in numerous fields. They can be used in clothing or close to the body systems acquiring vital parameter like heart rate, breathing rate or muscle activity or being used actively e.g. for functional muscle stimulation.

Speaker: Malte von Krshiwoblozki

Textiles are an indispensable part of our everyday life. They are not limited to clothing made of fabric, knits and fleece, but also include technical textiles and composite materials. They withstand extreme stresses during washing and have many different functions while being light and highly flexible.

By integrating electronic components, textiles can be enhanced with many different functions such as sensors and lighting. This enables completely new application areas for textiles.

Be part of our next lecture session on April 26, 2022: Within 45 minutes we would like to show you one presentation and afterwards you have th chance to ask our expert. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

In the non-wearable sector textiles are also all around us and integrated sensing, lighting or heating functionality is adding value in the automotive and home textiles sector. Integrating electronics into textiles require suitable materials and specific technologies to merge these at least partially with conventional electronics to obtain functional and reliable end results. This overview will present technologies to build textile circuits and an integration technology to assemble electronic module onto these.

Fraunhofer IZM stands for application-oriented, industry-oriented research.
With its technology clusters in the field of wafer and substrate process technology as well as its high competence in simulation and metrology, Fraunhofer IZM covers the entire range required for the realization of reliable electronics and their integration into applications. With our expert session series "Advanced flexible Circuits for novel Applications"we want to introduce you to the world of flexibles!

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
