Wissenschaft ist Teamarbeit: Anja Honig, Thomas Reich, Dr. Oliver Ott, Dr. Annette Röttger, Dr. Dirk Arnold und Dr. Rainer Dersch (v.l.) präsentieren das Emanationsgefäß, dessen Entwicklung besonders viel Zeit gekostet hat. Es enthält eine Th-228-Quelle, aus der durch radioaktiven Zerfall Thoron (Rn-220) entsteht. Dank dieses Bauteils gelang es mit einer weltweit einzigartigen Genauigkeit festzustellen, wie viel Thoron abtransportiert wird und wie viel in der Quelle bleibt.
