Mit Artesunat behandelte Krebszellen zeigen fragmentierte Mitochondrien (grün) sowie Lysosomen (rot), die sich in der Nähe des Zellkerns angesammelt haben. Unbehandelte Krebszellen weisen demgegenüber typischerweise vernetzte Mitochondrien und durch die gesamte Zelle verteilte Lysosomen auf.
