François Lévesque vom MPI für Kolloid- und Grenzflächenforschung. Max Planck Forscher haben einen Weg gefunden, das chemisch sehr anspruchsvoll gebaute Molekül Artemisinin zu synthetisieren. Die Wissenschaftler erwarten, dass sich dadurch Artemisinin, das als Malaria-Wirkstoff schon aus der traditionellen chinesischen Medizin bekannt ist, in Zukunft kostengünstig und in großer Menge herstellen lassen wird.
