Diplom-Informatiker Michael Steinhoff wurde für seine Diplomarbeit zum Thema E-Business-Portal mit dem Innovationspreis der Stadt Dortmund und der Pro DV Software AG ausgezeichnet.
Jörg Bickenbach, Staatssekretär im Wirtschaftministerium NRW, überreichte Michael Steinhoff den Innovationspreis der Stadt Dortmund und der Pro DV Software AG am 14. Dezember 1999 im Dortmunder Rathaus.
Der Inhalt der Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit einem Portal, das Anbietern und Nachfragern im Bereich E-Business als unternehmensübergreifende Wissens- und Geschäftsplattform dient. Michael Steinhoff realisierte die Grundlage für das E-Business-Portal auf der Basis von Lotus Notes/Domino.
Der Preisträger studierte Informatik an der Universität Paderborn und arbeitet seit einem halben Jahr bei der Pavone AG. Seine ausgezeichnete Diplomarbeit schrieb er am Fraunhofer-Anwendungszentrum für Logistikorientierte Betriebswirtschaft ALB, einer Außenstelle des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Materialfluß und Logistik IML, Dortmund.
Das Fraunhofer ALB und die Pavone AG kooperieren in einer Vielzahl von Projekten und nutzen schon jetzt bei fortführenden Arbeiten das E-Business-Portal.
Da inzwischen Kapitalgeber Interesse gezeigt haben, erhofft sich die Pavone AG in Zukunft weiterführende Projektaufträge zum Thema E-Business-Portal.
