Wie kann die Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise kommunikativ bewältigt werden? Führende internationale Wissenschaftler diskutieren diese und andere Fragen vom 8. bis 10. Oktober 2009 auf der Konferenz Krisenkommunikation an der TU Ilmenau. Veranstalter der hochkarätigen Konferenz ist die Internationale Forschungsgruppe Krisenkommunikation (IRGoCC) unter Leitung des Ilmenauer Fachgebietsleiters für Medienwissenschaft und renommierten Expertens für Krisenkommunikation, Professor Martin Löffelholz. Unter dem Titel "Crisis Communication at the Beginning of the 21st Century - Perspectives and Challenges for the Study of Communication in the Context of Terrorism, War, Disaster and Organizational Crisis" stellen international führende Wissenschaftler aus Europa, Asien und den USA aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse zur strategischen Krisenkommunikation von Organisationen vor. Im Rahmen einer Podiumsdiskussion diskutieren zudem Anwender und Wissenschaftler auch über die kommunikative Bewältigung und längerfristigen Folgen der internationalen Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise. Als Keynote-Speaker haben Robert Heath (University of Houston) und Timothy Coombs (Eastern Illinois University) zugesagt.
