Die Mitgliedergruppe Fachhochschulen der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK) hat heute in Berlin Prof. Dr. Karim Khakzar zu ihrem neuen Sprecher gewählt. Der Präsident der Hochschule Fulda wird damit vom 1. August an auch dem HRK-Präsidium angehören. Die Amtszeit beträgt zwei Jahre.
Die Mitgliedergruppe Fachhochschulen der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK) hat heute in Berlin Prof. Dr. Karim Khakzar zu ihrem neuen Sprecher gewählt. Der Präsident der Hochschule Fulda wird damit vom 1. August an auch dem HRK-Präsidium angehören. Die Amtszeit beträgt zwei Jahre.
Khakzar leitet die Hochschule Fulda seit 2008 und ist Professor im Fachbereich Angewandte Informatik an seiner Hochschule. Nach seiner Promotion an der Universität Stuttgart war er fünf Jahre lang in der Telekommunikationsbranche tätig und wechselte anschließend an die Hochschule.
Im Amt als Sprecher der Fachhochschulen folgt er dem Rektor der Hochschule Neubrandenburg, Prof. Dr. Micha Teuscher. Dieser bekleidet das Amt seit 2010 und konnte nach zweimaliger Wiederwahl nicht erneut zur Wahl antreten.
