Nur sieben deutsche Hochschulen innerhalb der Top 100 des World's Most Innovative Universities-Ranking 2017 platziert
Im internationalen Hochschulranking "Reuters Top 100 – World's Most Innovative Universities 2017" erzielt die Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (JGU) sehr gute Ergebnisse. Erstmals gelingt der JGU in diesem Jahr der Sprung unter die 100 innovativsten Hochschulen der Welt mit einem guten 91. Platz im Ranking. Insgesamt nur sieben deutsche Hochschulen wurden innerhalb der Top 100 der World's Most Innovative Universities platziert.
Das Reuters Top 100 – World's Most Innovative Universities ist ein Hochschulranking des Medienkonzerns Thomson Reuters, das sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, aus einem Pool von 600 Forschungseinrichtungen die 100 weltweit innovativsten Hochschulen zu identifizieren. Grundlage hierfür sind insbesondere Patentanmeldungen der Hochschulen sowie deren Erfolgsquote. Die JGU ist vor allem im Fach Pharmaceuticals & Biotech stark vertreten und schafft es somit in die Top 100.
