Im Vortrag wird das Gebiet der Thermoelektrik, insbesondere mit dem
Schwerpunkt thermoelektrische Materialien, kompakt und anschaulich
dargestellt. Obwohl thermoelektrische Effekte schon seit langer Zeit
Anwendung finden, ist gegenwärtig eine besondere Dynamik im Bereich der
Forschung und Entwicklung zu entsprechenden Materialien zu verzeichnen.
Ursachen dafür sind sowohl neuere physikalische Erkenntnisse als auch
veränderte Rahmenbedingungen für Entwicklungsarbeiten zur alternativen
Energieerzeugung.
