CELLMAT 2010 - Cellular Materials

The aim of the conference is to support and promote the application of cellular materials based on metals, ceramics and glasses. International experts will give plenary lectures on the applications in automotive, in machine and equipment construction, for chemical and energy systems, for environmental purposes or for micro and medical devices. Additional contributions on machining, quality and process control, new technologies in manufacturing of cellular materials as well as joining and coating techniques will be discussed during the conference. An exhibition of cellular materials will be organised in conjunction with the event.

The forum aims at stimulating a discussion panel between researchers, manufacturers and end users of cellular materials. During the conference, the industry sponsored CELLMAT Awards for excellent results in the application of cellular materials will be launched. Furthermore, the three best posters will be honoured.

Cellular materials are characterized by their unique combination of properties like low specific weight with additional useful properties (absorption of energy and noise). Due to their high specific surface area cellular materials are promising candidates for filtration, as catalyser or for heat storage and heat exchange. During the last two decades numerous activities in research and development of cellular materials can be pointed out. But at present, in Germany as well as all over the world a strong engagement in application activities of cellular materials can be reflected.

The following subjects will be discussed:

o Machine Construction
o Energy Management
o Chemical Engineering
o Bioengineering
o Medical Engineering
o Microsystems Technology
o Automotive
o Aerospace
o Architecture and Design

The following areas will also be included:
o Manufacturing
o Joining
o Machining
o Plastic Deformation
o Recycling

Hinweise zur Teilnahme:
EUR 450,- Participant Fee University
EUR 550,- Participant Fee Industry

The conference fees include the Technical Programme, refreshments during the official breaks, lunch, Conference Dinner and Proceedings.

Registration and Cancellation Conditions for Authors

With the submission of a paper and the immediate acknowledgement of receipt by the conference office, speakers will be registered for the conference. After the deadline, papers will be evaluated and confirmed until April 2010. After the confirmation, each speaker will receive an invoice that must be settled before 2 August 2010, otherwise papers may not be considered in the programme.
For the second and further papers, the presenting author is charged an extra fee of 100 EUR each. The presenting author, however, may be the co-author of any number of abstracts provided he/she is not the presenting author.

Cancellation before 2 August 2010 will be subject to a 50 EUR cancellation fee. After that date, 25% of the conference fee will be charged upon cancellation, and after 5 October 2009 the full conference fee will be charged. However, speaker substitution may be made at any time.

Registration and Cancellation Conditions for Delegates

After registration, each delegate will receive an invoice. From 1 October 2009, 25% of the conference fee will be charged upon cancellation, and after 16 October 2009 the full conference fee will be charged. Delegate substitution may be made at any time.

Upon registration delegates and authors agree to be published in the online List of Participants.

Hilfe
