European Seminar on Precision Optics Manufacturing

For the third time, the who’s who of the field of precision optics are meeting on April 12th and 13th on the Technology Campus in Teisnach for the “European Seminar on Precision Optics Manufacturing”. This year, the event is taking place for the first time in cooperation with the American SPIE (the International Society for Optics and Photonics). With this cooperation the biggest conference in “optics” take place in the European area.

Over the two days, the experts and specialists from the industry will discuss key questions regarding the latest developments in the manufacturing of precision optics products and the associated measurement methods. In addition to 30 lectures on “Production, Measurement Technology, Industry 4.0 and Surface Modification”, current research topics will be presented in the form of a poster session. The speakers from both the industry and research backgrounds come from the USA, England, China, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The key topics of the conference are:

• Manufacturing and measurement of high precision elements, large optics and optical systems
• Surface modification, cleaning and coating of optics
• Advanced technologies in high precision manufacturing
• Industry 4.0 in environment, media control, process stability and data handling

The event organisers are expecting up to 140 international participants, who are coming for the opportunity to engage in scientific dialogue in the context of the event.
