HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management has named Christian Strenger Honorary Professor. During the ceremony, Dean Dr. Andreas Pinkwart presented the internationally renowned corporate governance expert with the letter of appointment. "Christian Strenger – who was named Mister Corporate Governance by the Handelsblatt business journal – understands perfectly how to combine theoretical knowledge with impetus from the practice. With these characteristics, he lives up to HHL's standards regarding academic rigor and the practical relationships in research, teaching and knowledge transfer," says the HHL Dean. Christian Strenger has served as Academic Director of the Center for Corporate Governance at HHL since 2010. The trained banker, who also holds a university degree in business administration, is a member of multiple Supervisory Boards (Deutsche AWM Investment GmbH and TUI AG, amongst others) and the German Corporate Governance Code Commission. In June 2014, Christian Strenger received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the globally leading International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) for his lasting commitment to good corporate governance.
