Rationale: The EU Integrated Project SENSOR has developed a whole string of innovative Sustainability Impact Assessment Tools designed to measure future effects of land use policies in Agriculture, Forestry, Tourism, Nature Protection, Energy and Transport Infrastructure. Combining a 'Science Day' with a 'Policy Day', this conference seeks to demonstrate applications of tools and methods for two concrete policy cases: the EU Financial Reform and for the Bioenergy Case for EU27 in 2025. Throughout, current and potential users will stand central when examining questions of risk assessment, methodological transparency, as well as examples for integrated research. Trotz kontinuierlich rückläufiger Meldezahlen in Deutschland, stellt die Tuberkulose auch hier nach wie vor eine Herausforderung für Patienten und deren Angehörige, medizinisches Personal sowie das öffentliche Gesundheitswesen dar. Weltweit erkranken jährlich ca. 9 Millionen Menschen, und in vielen Ländern Osteuropas stellt die Tuberkulose das vorrangigste Gesundheitsproblem dar. Neben einer steigenden Rate multiresistenter Tuberkuloseerreger kommen zunehmend HIV-TB-Koinfektionen hinzu, sodass eine erfolgreiche Diagnostik und Therapie immer schwieriger wird. Da die Tuberkulose nicht vor den EU-Grenzen haltmacht, ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit den osteuropäischen Nachbarn bei der Tuberkulosekontrolle dringend geboten. Neben einer fundierten Diagnostik nach WHO-Empfehlungen gehören Public-Health-Maßnahmen in Prävention und Surveillance zu den wichtigsten Maßnahmen.
