Das Fraunhofer-Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik ITWM veranstaltet speziell für Vertreter regionaler KMU einen Workshop zum Thema "Simulation und Optimierung logistischer Prozesse".
Im Mittelpunkt stehen Simulations- und Optimierungsmethoden, die auch kleine und mittlere Unternehmen gewinn-bringend einsetzen können. Dazu werden die grundlegenden Konzepte von Materialfluss-Simulationen sowie deren Nutzen an praktischen Fallbeispielen verdeutlicht. Die Bandbreite der vorgestellten Anwendungen reicht von der Simulation einzelner Maschinen bis zu komplexen Fertigungssystemen, von nichtmaschinellen Tätigkeiten bis zu hoch automatisierten Produktionsprozessen. Dabei werden auch die Möglichkeiten der eingesetzten Softwarewerkzeuge sowie deren Handhabung vorgestellt.
