"Europa konkret" hatte 100 Meisterwerke der Konkreten und Reduktiven Kunst von 86 Künstlern aus 14 europäischen Ländern präsentiert. Damit war diese Ausstellung in Ostdeutschland einmalig in ihrer Art.
Hartmut Dorschner ist als frei improvisierender Saxofonist, Komponist und Computerkünstler bekannt geworden; er nahm an mehreren internationalen Computerkunstfestivals teil.
Der Hamburger Posaunist Heinz-Erich Gödecke hat sich einen Namen als Interpret zeitgenössischer Musik gemacht.
