This training week is presented within the framework of the EU-Research Project 'VisionOnline', a virtual institute coordinated by euspen. VisionOnline's primary objective is to provide a network of knowledge in the nano-, micro- and precision-technologies. Therefore one main topic is to arrange flexible and economic multidisciplinary training. Such training will be beneficial to organisations wishing to investigate new avenues of technology and in the generation of innovative products.
This unique 5-day event is the second microsystems training week that is organised by the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology within the project VisionOnline. The following topcis will be considered in depth:
- Manufacturing of optical and microoptical components
- Micro tooling and replication in the precision and micro engineering
- Metrology methods in the ultraprecision and micro technology
All technical areas will be presented by industrial experts from companies like Fries Research & Technology or Ultrareflex and outstanding research institutes like the Fraunhofer Insitute for Laser Technology, the KU-Leuven or the LFT-Erlangen. They will show their theoretical and practical know-how in presentations. Guided tours through the laboratories and shop floors of the Fraunhofer IPT will deepen the topics of the presentations.
