Informatik-Fachvortrag

Referent: Prof. Dr. Colin Atkinson, Fakultät für Mathematik und Informatik, Lehrstuhl für Softwaretechnik, Universität Mannheim;
Thema: "The Role of OCL in Model Driven Development"

The Model Driven Architecture, the OMG's vision for the future of software engineering, aims to improve the efficiency of software development by automating the production of code from platform-independent models. To make this possible, it is necessary to be able to create models which, although platform independent, contain sufficient precision for automated processing and transformation. The Object Constraint Language (OCL) was added to the UML for just this purpose. By allowing regular UMLk diagrams to be augmented with additional constraints, the OCL provides modelers with the ability to control the semantic content of models and thus the platform independence of the information they convey. In this talk Colin Atkinson will provide an introduction to OCL and will show how it can be used to support MDA in the context of component-based development.

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
