Mobiltelefone, Software, Webauftritte, Videorecorder, Kameras - die Liste der Produkte, die zukünftig im neuen Usability-Labor des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Integrierte Publikations- und Informationssysteme (IPSI) in Darmstadt auf Gebrauchstauglichkeit, Benutzerfreundlichkeit und leichte Bedienbarkeit getrimmt werden sollen, ist unerschöpflich - meint Friederike Jödick, die das Labor anlässlich des "Tages der Offenen Tür" des Instituts am 26. November 2004 der Öffentlichkeit vorstellen will. Die Informationswissenschaftlerin leitet ein interdisziplinäres Team von Psychologen, Pädagogen, Didaktikern, Grafik-Designern und Informatikern und will zukünftig Industrie- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen weit über die Rhein-Main-Region hinaus bei der Aufgabe unterstützen, "ergonomische Produkte zu entwickeln, die Arbeitsabläufe, Ästhetik und Technik gelungen integrieren."
