The 14th International Symposium on Organosilicon Chemistry ISOSXIV - 3rd European Organosilicon Days

On behalf of the Organizing Committee I cordially invite you to attend the 14th International Symposium on Organosilicon Chemistry (ISOS XIV), which will be held at the University of Würzburg from July 31 to August 5, 2005. ISOSXIV will be combined with the 3rd European Organosilicon Days. The symposium will provide a platform for both academic and industrial scientists to discuss the most recent advances in the various exciting fields of silicon chemistry. The objective of this conference is the integration of the worldwide Silicon Community in all fields of silicon-based chemistry and technology. Younger scientists and in particular graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to attend to see firsthand the state-of-the-art work being done in this important field.

Prof. Dr. Reinhold Tacke

Language

The official language for the conference will be English.

Conference Site

The registration and reception on Sunday, July 31, 2005, will take place in the Würzburg City Hall ("Rathaus"), Rückermainstr. 2. Thereafter, all scientific sessions will be held at the "Hubland Campus" of the University of Würzburg. The plenary lectures will be held in the "Naturwissenschaftliches Hörsaal-Gebäude", and all the other lectures in the "Zentralgebäude Chemie". The poster presentation will take place in the main dining hall ("Mensa"), which also houses a bank.

Würzburg is located on the River Main in the northern part of the state of Bavaria, about 100 km southeast of Frankfurt. Würzburg, founded 1300 years ago, is the city of history, culture, science, and wine.

Aim and Scope
The scientific program will consist of plenary lectures, invited lecturers, oral communications, and poster sessions. The conference will include all fields of silicon-based chemistry and technology, with topics such as

Silicon Biochemistry and Biotechnology

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
