About the Research Project
The project on Metrics for sustainability performance is part of the research agenda of esmt's Center for Responsible Leadership and Sustainable Futures which concentrates its efforts on examining the continuous tensions between managerial short-term pressures versus long-term performance and sustainable results within the context of business systems. The activities of this Center attempt to raise awareness of questions of long-term sustainability for companies and the wider contexts in which they operate.
The research findings to be presented at our Forum include:
A comparative analysis of the role of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives.
Identification of the factors that determine responsible leadership within a company (including internal and external factors, barriers and challenges and critical success factors).
An analysis of the methods utilized by twenty major German companies from six industry sectors including: Financial, information, energy, transportation, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical industry sectors.
Selection of six "Best in Class" German companies for more detailed analysis of their sustainability initiatives, and analysis of the Critical success factors for putting sustainability into practice.
esmt Forum on Metrics for Sustainable Performance will provide the opportunity to carry out challenging discussions with representatives of German companies as well as from other interested stakeholder groups including non governmental organizations, government authorities and academics. We like to take this opportunity to invite you to accompany us on 16th June at esmt campus in Munich. The executive summary of our research findings as well as the detailed program and access information to our Munich campus will be made available to you in the near future.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
