Pierre-Alain Clerc ist Professor für Orgelspiel am Konservatorium von Lausanne (Schweiz) und ausgebildeter Schauspieler. Sein Kollege Philippe Despont, der solo oder als Mitglied verschiedener Ensembles auftritt, erhielt für seine Interpretationen an Orgel und Cembalo bereits verschiedene Auszeichnungen.
Die Lesung findet im Rahmen der Veranstaltungswoche "Französische Barockliteratur" statt. Sie wird vom Frankreichzentrum der Universität des Saarlandes in Kooperation mit dem Institut d'Etudes Françaises, der Hochschule für Musik Saar sowie der Deutsch-Französischen Gesellschaft organisiert. Medienpartner ist der Saarländische Rundfunk.
