International renommierte Wissenschaftler konnten als Referenten gewonnen werden, darunter der Göttinger Nobelpreisträger Erwin Neher, der Londoner Neuropsychologe Chris Frith sowie der New Yorker Neuroentwicklungsbiologe Arnold Kriegstein. Das internationale Treffen findet im 3-Jahres-Rhythmus nun zum dritten Mal statt und wird vom transregionalen Sonderforschungsbereich "Mesiale Temporallappen-Epilepsien" organisiert. Sprecher des Verbundsprojekts ist Professor Dr. Christian Elger von der Universität Bonn. Beteiligt sind außerdem Gruppen aus Berlin (Charité), Freiburg, Magdeburg und Münster. Das Treffen richtet sich an ein Fachpublikum und wird von einer Poster-Ausstellung begleitet. Die Vorträge werden auf Englisch gehalten.
