Die Transplantationsmedizin hat in den letzten Jahren außerordentliche Fortschritten gemacht, besonders im Hinblick auf die wieder erreichbare Lebensqualität und das mögliche Langzeitüberleben nach Organtransplantationen.
Neben den neuesten Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Transplantation von Niere, Leber und Herz wird Prof. Dr. Fred Fändrich über Perspektiven der Organtransplantation sprechen. Die Forschergruppe um Prof. Dr. Fändrich ist weltweit führend auf dem Gebiet der klinischen Toleranzinduktion, welche Organtransplantierten vielleicht bald erlauben wird, ohne medikamentöse Ausschaltung ihres Immunsystems mit dem Transplantat zu leben. Dr. Marion Packenius von der Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung Schleswig-Holstein wird auf aktuelle gesundheitspolitische Aspekte der Medikamentenversorgung eingehen.
