"Molecular Aspects in Pain and Inflammation - in Joint- and Musculoskeletal Diseases" lautet das Thema des 2. Kongresses der "International Society for Molecular Orthopaedics" (ISMO) am 20./21. Mai 2006 in Düsseldorf.

Als junge Fachgesellschaft widmet sich die ISMO mit Sitz in der Schweiz dem sehr dynamischen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsfeld der Molekularen Orthopädie. Nach dem Gründungskongress im Vorjahr findet der Kongress erstmals in Deutschland statt.

Die Themen des Kongresses umfassen das gesamte Gebiet der aktuellen Entwicklungen von der Grundlagenforschung bis zur klinischen Anwendung. Hierbei konnten für alle zentralen Themen international renommierte Wissenschaftler und Vordenker, wie Prof. William Maixner, Prof. Joseph Glorioso und Prof. Brian Foxwell, gewonnen werden.
