In dem Vortrag werden neuere Erkenntnisse zum Freiwilligenengagement in Deutschland und - bezogen auf das ehrenamtliche Engagement in der Jugendarbeit - in Mecklenburg - Vorpommern vorgestellt.
Dabei wird genauer darauf eingegangen, welche Beweggründe die sich verändernden Engagementmotive und -formen in Stadt und Land haben, in welchen Formen sie sich zeigen und welche Infrastrukturen, Aktivierungs- und Vernetzungsstrategien geeignet sein könnten, Bürgerengagement insbesondere in ländlichen Räumen weiterentwickeln.
