Um Fragen zur technologischen Entwicklung, der Wirtschaftlichkeit, der Netzintegration und der ökologischen Verträglichkeit von Offshore-Windenergieanlagen zu diskutieren und neue Strategien zum Abbau bestehender Markteintrittsbarrieren der Offshore-Windenergienutzung zu entwickeln und abzustimmen, werden sich ausgewählte Repräsentanten der Europäischen staatlichen Institutionen, Netzbetreiber, Windenergieentwickler und Nichtregierungsorganisationen zum "EU Policy Workshop on Offshore Wind Power Deployment" in Berlin treffen. Der EU Policy Workshop on Offshore Wind Power Deployment ist offizieller Bestandteil der deutschen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft 2007.
