Im südlichen Afrika gehen 45 Millionen Kinder nicht zur Schule. Gemeinsam mit der Nelson Mandela Stiftung unterstützt UNICEF den Bau bzw. die Instandsetzung von Schulen, stellt Lehrmaterial, bildet Lehrer aus und organisiert Stipendien. 470 Schulen sind schon gebaut worden. Angeregt durch das Projekt "Schulen für Afrika" gestalteten Schüler Bilder und Collagen, die von UNICEF präsentiert werden.

Die Ausstellung wird am 31. Mai 2007 um 11.00 Uhr eröffnet. Sie kann montags bis freitags in der Zeit von 9.00 bis 20.00 Uhr besichtigt werden.
In der Langen Nacht der Wissenschaften, am 9. Juni 2007, ist die Ausstellung bis 1.00 Uhr geöffnet.
