Dr. Uwe Schaper unterrichtet seit 1994 am Fachbereich Informationswissenschaften Fachgebiete wie Archivische Bestandserhaltung, Brandenburgische Verwaltungsgeschichte oder Archive im Internet. Die von ihm angebotenen Themenfelder werden von den Studierenden als sehr gute Ergänzung zum vorhandenen Lehrangebot im Studiengang Archiv geschätzt.
Uwe Schaper studierte Neuere Geschichte, Neuere deutsche Literaturgeschichte und Soziologie an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Durch seine leitende Tätigkeit als Direktor des Landesarchivs Berlin und seine langjährige Tätigkeit am Landeshauptarchiv Potsdam und an der Landesfachstelle für Archive und öffentliche Bibliotheken im brandenburgischen Landeshauptarchiv in Potsdam sowie durch seine berufsständischen Aktivitäten im Bereich der Archivarsausbildung in Deutschland besitzt er ein sehr hohes Maß an archivfachlichem Wissen in Theorie und Praxis.
