Die Begrüßungsrede wird die Vizepräsidentin der Akademie, Prof. Dr. Bärbel
Friedrich, halten. Michael Thielen, Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium
für Bildung und Forschung, und der Ministerpräsident des Landes
Sachsen-Anhalt, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Böhmer, werden Grußworte sprechen. Die
Festansprache hält der Akademiepräsident Prof. Dr. Volker ter Meulen. Er
vergibt auch die Medaillen und Preise der Akademie. Der Festvortrag von
Prof. Dr. Jörg Hacker, Würzburg, zum Thema "Migration und Seuchen" rundet
die Eröffnungsveranstaltung ab.
Ab 14 Uhr beginnt das wissenschaftliche Programm mit zahlreichen Vorträgen
zum Thema "Natur und Migration". Dabei spannt sich der Bogen von der
Evolution der Zugvögel, referiert von Prof. Dr. Bart Kempenaers,
Seewiesen, bis zur "Emigration deutscher Wissenschaftler 1933 bis 1945"
von Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Frühwald, Bonn. Weitere Vorträge haben
beispielsweise "Vergangenheit und Gegenwart der Europäischen Migration zum
Inhalt" (Prof. Dr. Thomas Faist, Bielefeld) zum Inhalt, die "Migration von
Tumorzellen" (Prof. Dr. Otmar Wiestler, Heidelberg) oder die "Neuronale
Migration und die Entwicklung der Hirnrinde" (Prof. Dr. Michael Frotscher,
Freiburg). Die Junge Akademie beteiligt sich mit einem Werkstattgespräch an dem Programm.
