Das "Forum Operative Gynäkologie" ist der Zusammenschluss der Arbeitsgemeinschaften:
° Gynäkologische Endoskopie e.V. (AGE)
° Wiederherstellende Operationsverfahren in der Gynäkologie e.V. (AWOgyn) und
° Urogynäkologie und Plastische Beckenbodenrekonstruktionen e.V. (AGUB),
deren Ziel es ist, die Arbeit sämtlicher gynäkologisch-operativen Ärzte zu bündeln, Qualitätssicherung voran zu treiben und Fortbildung anzubieten. Zu diesem Zweck veranstaltet das FOG alle zwei Jahre einen bundesweiten Kongress in Berlin stattfinden.
