Alternative Werbeformen nähern sich Zielgruppen auf überraschende Weise, bitten um Erlaubnis oder liefern "echte" Mehrwerte, statt einfach nur zu werben. Auch mit kleinen Werbebudgets dienen sie dazu, neue Zielgruppen zu erschließen oder eine vorhandene Reichweite wirkungsvoll auszubauen (z. B. Guerilla Marketing und Viral Marketing).
Diplom-Designer Markus Wente ist freiberuflicher Creative Director und entwickelte Designs u.a. für Marken wie z.B. Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola light, Coca-Cola Zero, Sparkasse, Absolut Vodka, Bless, Sin Five. Seit 2001 unterrichtet er an der design akademie berlin den Studienschwerpunkt "Neue Medien" mit den Vorlesungsfächern Multimedia, Online Marketing und Innovative Kommunikationsinstrumente.
Im Anschluss an den Vortrag besteht die Möglichkeit sich über die drei neuen Masterstudiengänge Marketingkommunikation, Creative Direction und Unternehmens-kommunikation an der design akademie berlin, Hochschule für Kommunikation und Design (FH) zu informieren.
