Die Tagung bietet interessante und praxisnahe Einblicke in Innovationsmanagement in Industrie und Wirtschaft sowie ein Forum für den "interdisziplinären" Erfahrungsaustausch von Physikerinnen und Physikern. In Vorträgen, Diskussionen und interaktiven Fallstudien vermitteln hochrangige Vertreter aus der Industrie, die selbst im Bereich Innovation arbeiten, aktuelle Erkenntnisse und Methoden entlang der Innovationswertschöpfungskette.
Veranstalter ist der Arbeitskreis Industrie und Wirtschaft der Deutschen Physikalischen Gesellschaft.
