Neugeborenen-Screening ist eine Vorsorge-Untersuchung auf angeborene Stoffwechselerkrankungen
und hormonelle Störungen, die zu geistigen und körperlichen Behinderungen führen,
wenn die Behandlung zu spät oder gar nicht einsetzt. Es werden die biochemischen Zusammenhänge
der Erkrankungen und die laboranalytischen Methoden vorgestellt.
