In mid-May, the Editors of "Hydrogeology Journal (HJ)", the scientific journal of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), meet at Greifswald. One focus of this meeting is to plan the future development of this well-appreciated journal. The other is to enhance the scientific exchange of the journal's editors and to share it with students and the scientific community of Greifswald University. Within the framework of this meeting, a special workshop will be held to discuss problems of groundwater, ranging from innovative modeling approaches to scocioeconomic conflicts for trans-boundary and coastal aquifers.
HS's editors originate from all parts of this planet, that ist Colorado (Shemin Ge) and Virginia (Cliff Voss) both USA, Hong Kong (Jimmy Jiao) in China and Neuchatel (Philippe Renard) in Switzerland and Greifswald (Maria-Th. Schafmeister). As Executive Manager of IAH, John Chilton (UK) will complete this distinguished group.
The Workshop will be held at the "Konzil Saal" in the Main University Building. Students and colleagues are kindly invited to join the workshop. If you wish to attend, we ask you to complete the attached confirmation note or to send an e-mail to "aghydrog@uni-greifswald.de" by May 5, 2009. This will allow us to arrange coffee for everyone.
