Local Roots or Global Links? Welche Relevanz haben regionale Vernetzungen im Zeitalter eines globalen Wettbewerbs um Ressourcen und Märkte? Unter diesem Motto steht eine wissenschaftliche Tagung des Lehrstuhls für Strategisches und Internationales Management an der Universität Mannheim, die am Mittwoch, 17.März 2010, in der Aula des Schlosses stattfindet.
Hintergrund der Tagung ist ein von der Europäischen Union gefördertes Forschungsprojekt, das sich mit den Erfolgsfaktoren regionaler Vernetzung in verschiedenen High-Tech Branchen beschäftigt. Im Rahmen dieses Projektes leitet der Wirtschaftswissenschaftler Prof. Dr. Andreas Al-Laham ein Forscherteam an der Universität Mannheim, das sich den Voraussetzungen, Strukturen und Ergebnissen regionaler Vernetzung in der deutschen Biotech-Branche zuwendet. Das Projekt wird vom Clusterverband "Bio-Region Rhein-Neckar" unter der Leitung von Frau Dr. Julia Schüler unterstützt.
