Vor einigen Jahrzehnten galten Infektionskrankheiten prinzipiell als besiegt - eine gewaltige Fehleinschätzung. Höchstens die Anzahl und Schwere von Infektionen können durch neue Entwicklungen bei Impfstoffen und in der Hygiene beeinflusst werden. 1710 als Pesthaus konzipiert, knüpft die Charité mit dem Thema dieser Veranstaltung am Beispiel der Infektionskrankheiten Tuberkulose und Influenza an ihre Historie an und nimmt auch die resistenten Erreger ins Visier.
